Reading, Level 3, Part 2

Second half of semester. Level 3 Part 2. The students will understand literary terms such a characterization, point of view, and figures of speech, understand and develop vocabulary in context, identify the parts of a story like setting, plot, conflict, resolution, main idea, and theme, relate each book to its general historical setting and connect this information to the message, state the general theme(s) or purpose for each of the stories, evaluate and analyze the plot line, identify different genres in literature, and develop reading fluency.
