Program Description

This program is designed to equip childrens ministry leaders with an understanding of children, best practices of childrens ministry in order to connect children, their families, and their leaders with Christ and the community of faith. The Advanced Certificate in Childrens Ministry provides students with foundations in theology, Christian education, and principles for creating solutions to meet the contemporary needs of the churches and children.

Admission Requirements for DBU Graduate Ministry Degrees in the Graduate School of Ministry

Applicants are required to have a staff member or church official from their church submit the "Church Membership Recommendation" form that is included in the application.
Since Dallas Baptist University is an unapologetically evangelical and Christ-centered institution, applicants are required to affirm their agreement with the following beliefs: The Old and New Testaments of the Bible alone are the divinely inspired, entirely trustworthy, and infallible Words of God. There is one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are the same substance and equal in power and glory. Salvation from sins is only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who alone is Savior and Lord.
