Program Description

This advanced certificate is designed for the person who wants training in Christian counseling but is not yet ready to commit to the completion of an MA in Christian Counseling. It is also a good option for someone who has completed a counseling degree and wants to acquire a biblical foundation for counseling. This certificate is needed to help the counselor know how to apply biblical truths to counseling issues.

Admission Requirements for DBU Graduate Ministry Degrees in the Graduate School of Ministry

Applicants are required to have a staff member or church official from their church submit the "Church Membership Recommendation" form that is included in the application.
Since Dallas Baptist University is an unapologetically evangelical and Christ-centered institution, applicants are required to affirm their agreement with the following beliefs: The Old and New Testaments of the Bible alone are the divinely inspired, entirely trustworthy, and infallible Words of God. There is one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are the same substance and equal in power and glory. Salvation from sins is only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who alone is Savior and Lord.
