Description
This course will introduce students to the anatomical, physiological, neural, hormonal, and chemical changes of the human body that are associated with exercise and work. The neuromuscular and cardiorespiratory system will be covered in depth from the cellular level to the performance application and effects of training and exercise. Special topics will also be covered such as design of training programs, environmental factors to exercise performance, body composition considerations, ergogenic aids, nutrition, special populations, and gender specific differences.
