Dictation MPE Level II

This course is the music proficiency exam dictation portion, required for all music degrees. It determines the student's readiness for upper-level music study. The course is to be taken concurrently with MUSI 1112 (Aural Skills II) and serves as transcript verification for mastery of rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic dictation as well as error detection. The exam is given as the final exam for Aural Skill II or scheduled individually with students who have already passed the course, but not the exam. The student can enroll in MUSI 1012 up to three times until it is completed successfully.
